Events + Reactions = Outcomes
Although the stunning storm has subsided, the nightmare is just beginning for many of our family, friends, alumni, volunteers and staff members past and present.
We are well aware that our primary mission is to serve as an exceptional music education and leadership training opportunity for our members. We will continue to do that in the year ahead in the context of the drum corps activity, and will focus on improving ourselves as performers, designers, instructors and supporters. We feel that in the face of unfathomable destruction in our own backyard, we have the opportunity and the responsibility to “Share the Love” and stand tall as leaders in our region in ways which extend well beyond football stadiums, rehearsal fields and gymnasium floors.
As honored as we are to be a part of Drum Corps International’s World Class, our desire to be “more than ‘just’ a drum corps” has been a part of our philosophy since the organization’s inception in 1990. The circumstances of the past 48 hours amplify both the need and the opportunity to do more.
Stay tuned for ways in which you can help us to help those who have experienced incredible devastation in the wake of this overwhelming natural disaster.
We know that we often can’t control events which shape our lives… but we can control our reaction to those events, shaping the outcome to move ourselves forward. Please consider joining us in our efforts to “Share the Love” of what we do with those who will benefit greatly from our support.
