With hundreds of years – yes, literally HUNDREDS of years of combined experience – as musicians, educators and performers, the 2019 Jersey Surf educational team is expecting big things from the young performers in their charge. The positive energy, enthusiastic outlook and renewed commitment are creating palpable excitement around the corps as it begins its 29th season.
“The Jersey Surf has always been fortunate to attract passionate educators who share in the organization’s mission to help create not only outstanding young performers, but excellent leaders as well,” says Program Coordinator Tom Kershaw. “The team we are assembling for the coming season will certainly build on the legacy of the outstanding folks who’ve come before them, and will help to inspire and motivate the newest generation of Surf performers as they come together to experience the remarkable journey of the 2019 Drum Corps International Tour.”
