The Jersey Surf Board of Directors convened for their quarterly on-site meeting to discuss key projects and goals for the corps in 2019 and beyond. Topics discussed ranged from the refinement of the annual operating budget and alumni outreach projects to member safety and organizational priorities.
One of the key priorities for the board in 2019 will be to compile, clean and manage the corps membership data going as far back as 1990. The end goal is to improve outreach to corps alumni, current members, parents, and supporters.
“As a board, we are committed to finding new and interesting ways to engage our membership community,” said Jersey Surf Board Chairperson, Glenn Davila, “Our goal is to reestablish and maintain relationships with our alumni base to build a stronger Jersey Surf community as our organization continues to grow and evolve.”
Although numerous committee and individual activities continue behind the scenes each week, the board’s next “formal” meeting will take place at the corps’ April camp.
