The Jersey Surf World Class Drum Corps is pleased to join Vivace Productions, Peak Group Travel and other outstanding companies and organizations as an official sponsor of the 2021 Collegiate Marching Band Festival, taking place this Sunday, October 3, at the venerable J. Birney Crum Stadium in Allentown, PA.

The event, which has been staged since 1996, provides a high-energy performance environment for some 4,000 college marching band members and more than 6,000 spectators in one of the most venerable venues in the world of marching music – the site of the long-running Drum Corps International Eastern Classic.

“We’ve been very fortunate to have been a part of this outstanding event nearly every year since its inception,” said Bob Jacobs, CEO and Executive Director of the Jersey Surf World Class Drum Corps. “This year, we will be “backstage” providing bottled water and prepackaged snacks to each of the performers taking part in the festival. We’re also looking forward to speaking with these marching musicians about performance opportunities and non-performing roles with the Jersey Surf team as we prepare for our 30th Anniversary season and the DCI 50th Anniversary Tour next summer.”

The 2021 event will showcase 20 college and university marching bands and also provides a unique opportunity for prospective students and their families to see and hear five hours of varied performance styles and programs all on the same day in one outstanding location – a tremendous day of family entertainment in a spectacular and highly enjoyable setting.

The show gets under way at 12 noon with an appearance from the Lehigh University marching band. Other participating institutions include: Caldwell University; Marist College; Moravian University; Widener University, Clarion University, Bloomsburg University, Boston University; California University of Pennsylvania; Millersville University; Kutztown University; Shepherd University; Gettysburg University; Morgan State University; Slippery Rock University; Shippensburg University; University of New Haven; University of Delaware; Towson University; and West Chester University.
