#GivingTuesdayNow is a new global day of giving and unity that will take place on May 5, 2020 – in addition to the regularly scheduled Dec 1, 2020, #GivingTuesday – as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.
Alongside many corps within DCI, Jersey Surf has been affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, resulting in the cancelation of the 2020 DCI Tour. While dues and show fees go to keeping performers and staff housed, fed, and on the road, each corps has facilities to maintain, equipment to safely store, and other fixed expenses that exist whether the corps are on the field or not.
Today, we’re asking the Surf community for help to sustain the organization as we weather these difficult times and officially launch the Jersey Surf Light Up Our Future Campaign. We know that times are tough for everyone. We’re only asking for your help right now because we truly need it. We are looking for 300 donors – just 10 from each year of our existence – to help light our path forward during this extraordinary situation.
