With our Board of Directors comprised of an unprecedented number of former marching members of the Jersey Surf organization along with other professionals and business leaders, the annual “Share the Love” has a greater sense of focus than ever before!

What does “Share the Love” mean? Well, it means helping the corps hit the road to success, doing what you can to ensure a high-quality, world-class experience for our members, and ultimately “paying it forward” to create the same transformative experience enjoyed by thousands of Jersey Surf families over our 29-year history.

There are several ways you can help the Jersey Surf in its mission of providing quality educational opportunities for young people in the performing arts, in an environment which promotes the social and artistic development of the organization’s participants through creative programs designed with the highest possible quality of leadership & instruction:

• As a 501(c)(3) organization, Surf is part of the Amazon Smile program. This program allows you to make it so a small portion of the proceeds from your Amazon purchases will go to the Jersey Surf. You can set this up by selecting us as your charity of choice at smile.amazon.com and using this URL every time you shop at Amazon.
• You can also help us directly by visiting our Donation Page where you can sponsor a mile, sponsor a meal, or just make a simple donation to the corps for general purposes. Every little bit helps, and you’ll get a special thank you from our members for your generosity.

Just as valuable as your financial donation is the donation of your time!

• Volunteers are always welcome at our winter rehearsal camps and “work party” weekends. From meal preparation and uniform cleaning and fitting to general administrative and logistical assistance, there many tasks that we need help with the winter in preparation for the 2019 DCI Tour. Volunteers choosing to sleep at the school or who travel with the corps must have a current background check on file. By purchasing our Volunteer Package, you can help us defray the cost of conducting background checks, obtaining insurance and other administrative expenses.

The Surf is also actively seeking volunteers for the Summer Tour. Whether for a day or two, a week or the entire tour, we’d LOVE to have you on board with us for another incredible and exciting adventure:

• Drivers (2 CDL class A* and 4 non-CDL U-haul drivers**)
• Culinary Team* – from novice to expert, all skill levels are appreciated!
• Merchandise Sales* volunteers & interns
• Uniform Maintenance and Refitting**
• Scenery/Props/Logistics – construction, transportation, drayage at event sites
• Administration – tour management assistance, a variety of roles available
• Media & Marketing Interns – various positions available

By volunteering, not only will you be helping the remarkable members of the Jersey Surf, you’ll have exclusive behind the scenes access to seeing the corps rehearse and compete. There’s simply nothing like the once in a lifetime experience of touring with a DCI World Class Drum Corps, and we’d love for you to experience the magic with us.
