Welcome Back to Three Familiar Faces in Leadership
Jersey Surf is proud to announce the election of three distinguished alumni – Courtney Laub, Rob Wiltbank and Jennifer Umberger – to our Board of Directors. Each played an important role in the organization’s formative years, helping to shape the foundation upon which decades of excellence and innovation have been built. Their return to leadership brings a powerful combination of experience, perspective, and passion for the Surf’s mission of inspiring lives through music, education, and community. We’re thrilled to welcome them home as we continue charting the next chapter of the Jersey Surf story.
Courtney Laub, CPA
Courtney Laub brings two decades of high-level financial expertise—and a long personal history with Jersey Surf—to her role on the board. A Certified Public Accountant since 2003, she currently serves as Associate Vice President of Finance and Administration for the Oberkotter Foundation, overseeing strategic financial operations and human-resources management. Before entering the nonprofit sector, Courtney built an extensive career in public accounting, managing complex audits for schools, foundations, and mission-driven organizations. A lifelong supporter of the performing arts, she’s excited to help guide Jersey Surf’s continued evolution with the same commitment to integrity, teamwork, and community she’s shared since the organization’s early days.
Rob Wiltbank
A lifelong percussionist, percussion educator and performer, Rob Wiltbank has been part of the Jersey Surf family since its formative years. Over the past 35 years, he’s built a remarkable career teaching and designing for high school, collegiate, and world-class percussion ensembles. Rob currently leads the Delaware Tech Performance Drumline and serves as Staff Coordinator for Imperial Dynasty Arts Program, where his leadership and instruction helped earn top honors on the national stage. As an active adjudicator with the National Judges Association, Rob continues to mentor the next generation of performers and educators, always championing excellence, creativity, and the lifelong joy of music.
Jennifer Umberger
An alumna of Jersey Surf’s early seasons, Jennifer Umberger has spent more than two decades developing deep expertise in insurance and risk management. She is a Senior Claims Specialist with Gallagher Bassett Services, Inc., managing complex commercial and liability cases across multiple states. Jennifer holds advanced industry designations, including the AIC and AIS, and maintains adjuster licenses nationwide. A graduate of West Chester University and Cambridge University’s CELTA program, she also holds a master’s degree in Holocaust and Genocide Studies. Her combination of analytical skill, ethical perspective, and steadfast leadership make her an invaluable addition to Jersey Surf’s governing team.
