October 6, 2025Where we're headed: A Bright Future for the Jersey Surf Organization

As Jersey Surf celebrates its 35th anniversary, our commitment to providing transformative music experiences remains at the heart of everything we do. Looking ahead, we are dedicated to expanding our reach, deepening community engagement, and continuing to innovate in music education—with the ultimate goal of fostering a lifelong love of music.
Through our Mobile Music Lab initiative, we bring music directly to schools, camps, festivals, community centers, and events; making musical experiences accessible to all, regardless of background or location. From interactive drum circles to hands-on instrument exploration and evidence-based wellness programs like Remo HealthRHYTHMS, we aim to inspire creativity, build connection, support social-emotional learning, and promote well-being throughout the region. Our Healthy Choices program combines music, movement, and nutrition education, empowering participants to fuel their bodies & minds while having fun connecting with others.
Alongside our community programs, we will continue to expand products, opportunities and markets for our patented MarimbaPad™ practice instruments. Designed for versatility and innovation, the MarimbaPad offers a cost-effective way for musicians to practice percussion with greater flexibility. We’re excited to grow its presence across music education and professional learning environments.
As we grow, we’re strengthening partnerships with schools, nonprofits, health organizations, and local governments—with the goal of reaching more people, underserved communities and providing meaningful access to music’s power to educate, connect, and transform lives.
Looking ahead, Jersey Surf is committed to being a trusted resource for music education and community development–cultivating creativity, emotional expression, and lifelong learning in every program we offer. We are also open to exploring new performance opportunities, including those rooted in our drum corps tradition.
While we are not ready to announce any specific performing ensembles at this time, we are actively discussing new ideas and remain flexible and excited about what the future may bring; including the potential to form and produce affordable and accessible groups that could participate in local, regional, national, and international festivals and events. We look forward to sharing our unique brand of music education with even more communities in ways that reflect our mission and values... and which build on our legacy of “Sharing the Love.”
